Good food, initlal service was a bit slow, but the food came quickly.

Come here every Sunday after church. Staff is friendly, the owner is always happy to see people. Food is good and prices are great.

I had the chocolate and banana stuffed challah french toast. So good! No syrup needed. My son had a bacon cheeseburger deluxe. The fid was good and fast. The wait staff were very pleasant. This used to be my Sunday brunch spot before I started watching my waistline. You won't be disappointed.

Food is ok but its getting expensive hence the 2 stars but its open 24 hours

The Fifth Avenue Diner is a small, family run restaurant. I go there frequently for breakfast as I feel there is no better breakfast place to visit. When you ask for a three egg omelette you get a three egg omelette, something you don't see in other places. The service is very nice and they will go out of their way to please you. I have never been dissatisfied here. I don't know about their dinner menu but suspect it is just as good as their breakfast. I will try it sometimes.

Classic diner with a variety of food, nice waitstaff. Great for families and kids, and they have a party room. Can get crowded for brunch. Only knock is they do not have fresh, carved turkey in their turkey club (my personal preference). But their wraps and paninis are varied and delish.

My partner and I love 5th Ave Diner! The food is always great and I love getting a slice of the spanakopita (spinach pie). It also beats all the diner prices I’ve seen in NYC so far. Definitely try and make it out once a month if we can!

It’s gross! Food was pretty basic and bland and not prepared well (I actually felt slightly nauseous when I left) and the staff has absolutely NO customer service skills.

Cute place to grab a basic breakfast or lunch. For 2 people the bill was less than $20. Waitress staff were great. Kinda like the retro feel. Great place to grab food after a workout at new york sports club ;) which is what I did.

French toast was eggy and soggy, staff was rude and had an arguement with another costumer, after the costumers left the staff and owner proceeded to talk about them and how disgusting they were.. the rest of the breakfast was ok, I didnt eat the french toast and waited to tell the waiter when I was ready to go that I didnt it eat bc it wasnt good, she rolled her eyes and took it off the bill.. I wont ever return here. It's not my first time there and normally it's good but today just turned me off..

It was very nice, clean and friendly... price was nice portion egg omelette, homefries, 3 sodas( I think she said NO REFILLS) $27.00 WITH 3 DOLLAR TIP. .. didnt have enough for tip. Eh.. good but pricey

My wife and I came here to eat the morning after our wedding. It wasn't planned, it just happened to be a near by place that we found after we realized that we wanted something to eat. It will forever be a special place and I'll always go back there if I'm in the area or if it's in route to my destination. #thekellys

Love the fifth Ave diner! My boyfriend n I go there very often .the food is fresh , and the menu options are amazing ! The french toast selection is absolutely amazing! The service is 5 stars and the coffee is always fresh ! Great for breakfast, lunch and dinner! See u again soon ! And I highly recommend stopping here If u are a traveler in the park slope area of Brooklyn !

The Belgian waffles were really eggy and not crispy. The French toast was fine, but the syrup was somehow ineffective. It was too thick to come out of the syrup dingy, and even when you got it out it wasn’t that sweet. I don’t even like things that sweet. I can’t deny that I’m full.

Food is absolutely delicious customer service was great and on the delivery was very fast will always be my first choice of diners in Brooklyn they used to be 24 hours I guess no longer. That's a bummer but if available this is my first stop

We've eaten here twice. The first time the food was great but the service was not so great. The second time we ate here the food AND the service was great. The food was all fresh and you get a lot for the money. Not crazy about the taste of the water, not sure if its tap water or what but just didn't taste right to me either time. But, overall, judging on food only this place is open 24 hours and gets 5 stars!!!

I highly recommend anyone from the neighborhood or anyone esle out from parkslope to come here the best breakfast dinner 😁🤳

Good food, good service, somewhat lower prices than other diners in the area. Onion rings are a must! This diner also tends to be quieter (less crowded) and in my opinion is the perfect atmosphere for a Sunday breakfast/lunch.

No longer a 24/7 diner. Not open late nights. Food has been fine -- it's reasonable diner food -- even if the place seems a bit drab.

Counter service sucked two weeks in a row. Either no syrup and butter with pancakes until a helpful waitress notices the staring around, no offer of coffee refills, or last week, trying to get my waitress to make eye contact to get a check to leave. You're an after thought at the counter. I am done trying it here. I'll go down the street instead.

This is a place to have authentic American breakfast in Brooklyn. Located in a good and convinent location. The food tastes great and the people serving them are great. I had a nice experience. Would definitely recommend this place

I can expect nothing more from 5th avenue Diner but I could expect a great deal less, which is to say, this place can really come in clutch and not disappoint. In my case, it was 12:30am, in Bed-Stuy, and I really wanted a milkshake. 5th is the only 24 hour place with that service for miles around, so I decided to go way out of my way to give it a shot. I walked over a mile, waited 30 minutes for the train, took the 20-30 ride, and finally got a milkshake (that's not that impressive, but I had work early the next morning). To my delight, at 1:00am on a Thursday, a variety of parties were enjoying meals; some loners, but some nice families with children as well. I got a vanilla milkshake, the only other option than chocolate. Was it amazing? No. A tasty milkshake? Yes. It was $4. That's hard to find these days anywhere.So no quality is not high, but I'll be damned if 5th Ave Diner doesnt pursue an honorable mission and do so pretty well.

Inexpensive local diner with a large enough menu to suit your late night cravings (this place is open 24 hours!!!!) I came here one time at an odd hour and struck up a conversation with one of the locals ordering to go. Definitely a very cozy diner with friendly staff and locals you can talk to. And of course, the food comes in large portions and is always delicious.

Nice family place...I have been going since I was a child. They should upgrade there food to organic.

Fantastic brunch place! Highly recommend. Always great food and funky / fun / quirky atmosphere! Only downside is there is always a very long wait .... but it's worth it for the food you get.
